Another great list of school supplies. Thanks Lynda!

Don’t feel you have to buy the entire supply list in one shopping trip. I personally advise you pick up the best deals each week that meet your supply list needs. Please read the blurb under OfficeDepot/Max as this store has 2 different flyers (depending on where you live) this week.

I have put asterisks ( ***) by the deals that I think are definitely a SUPER buy.

STAPLES

I’ll be honest, not much impresses me about the Staples ad this week.

Staples Composition Books = 0.50
Staples Filler paper = 0.82

There is a coupon in the ad for 50% off one Crayola Washable product — the coupon is NOT on the Staples website, only in their ad. If you wanted/needed Crayola Washable product, this would be a great coupon to use.

NOTE: For those of you new to my emails or to Staples’ rebates: Staples Easy Rebates are super easy to do. You can file the rebate online and the check ALWAYS arrives.

What Does Our Advanced Class Offer You?

In 5 days we will be hosting an Advanced Couponing Class here in Burlington, NC. We were motivated to do this because our basics class teaches you how to get started and how to save money at the grocery store from week to week but we wanted to teach others how to get their toiletries for FREE! Among other things that will be a major portion of this class and we look forward to showing everyone how we collected $1000 worth of products in 4 1/2 months for the Women’s Resource Center here in Alamance County. We realize it is getting close to the holidays and many of you have plans that are keeping you busy but I assure you the best investment you will make this holiday season is signing up for our class so you can save your family money starting Saturday at 9am at Hypermind! Have you ever thought about how much you spend on shampoo, body wash, hand soap, toothpaste, deodorant, razors (just to name a few)? If you could save your family that much money each month what would you do with it? Would you save for a rainy day or pay off a bill or go out to dinner or save for a vacation? It doesn’t matter where you are financially everyone can benefit from saving money on these essentials. You can find information about this class on this homepage.

Harris Teeter Super Double Success!

We (Amy & Amanda) spent a bit of time this afternoon visiting a  Harris Teeter, which was well-stocked (that is a great thing!). We had fun picking up some great deals. We got most of our deals from the posting from earlier in the week and tried to mainly stick with things that were free but also got a few deals that were still really good. We thought we would brag a little. We were able to complete these deals in two separate transactions each. (We are lucky enough to have a mom and sister that don’t mind us using their card.) We also didn’t get all the deals we wanted and will probably be going back Monday or Tuesday for one more trip.

Amy went last Thursday and got a total of $89.21 for $23.49. Today she got $195.04 for $48.21. That’s a grand total of $284.25 for $71.70! That’s a 75% savings!

Amanda today got a total of $201.00 for $46.40, which is a 77% savings!

Together that’s a total of $485.25 for only $118.10. All told that is a 76% savings so far!

We are collecting items to donate to a local organization and we were able to contribute $148.54 worth of free items from our purchases toward that donation. Our goal is to get as many items as we can in a 6 month period for free or nearly free to donate. We will keep you posted on how that is going :)

Have you had success? Please let us know about it. Comment on this post or post a comment on our Facebook page.

Weekly Deals 3/6/13: Harris Teeter Super Doubles

We are super excited that select Harris Teeter stores, mainly in NC are hosting another Super Double event where coupons up to and including $2 will be doubled (limit 20 per day).  Stores included in this event are: Aberdeen, Apex, Burlington, Cary, Carrbaro, Chapel Hill, Durham, Fayetteville, Fuquay Varina, Greensboro, High Point, Kernersville, Nashville, Raleigh, Rocky Mount, Southern Pines, Wake Forest, Wilson and Winston-Salem.

This comes on the heels of another Super Double event so some of you will be excited to try to use some coupons you couldn’t last time and try to get some deals that weren’t available. We have included a couple links to a deals list, this is not every deal by any means but between the two you can probably find some really good deals. Good luck and share some good deals with us and tell us your success stories!

Super Double List #1 – here

List #2- here

You also check out the Shopping List Creators under the Couponing tab for other weekly deals and to check out other grocery and drug store match-ups for the week. Happy Couponing!

Money Maker Monday 3/4/13: Recylcebank

For Money Maker Monday we are highlighting a site that isn’t necessarily a money maker like some of the survey sites we have posted but you can earn points for free things like coupons, gift cards, and magazines. It fits more in the Click & Earn category and is very simple. Recyclebank is dedicated to helping you choose green actions and learn more about the things you can do personally to help the environment. Its very easy to register and start earning. Click on this link to get started.

Once registered you earn points by completing “green” actions like short quizzes or by participating in a home recycling program that you can learn more about on their website. With just a few points you can start printing or ordering coupons for products and retailers such as Blue Diamond, Kashi, Omaha Steaks, Dicks Sporting Goods, Regal Cinemas, Bed Bath & Beyond and Vista Print to name a few. You can also make donations to organizations that support these practices. They don’t bombard you with emails but about once a month they have a way to earn a pretty large chunk of points and are always updating their website with things to do to earn points. Check them out!

Print them while you can!

Just a reminder it’s the last day of the month, this is the time internet printables on the printable sites are re-set. Some have already hit their limit by now but check out the links on this previous post and get them while you can. They will be reset tomorrow, some replaced, some will stay the same, you just never know. Remember you can hit back and refresh and print 2 on most sites. If you cant find the one you just printed, like on coupons.com you may have to look all the way at the bottom of all the coupons to see the ones you have recently printed or those that you have printed to their limit of 2 already. Happy Printing!
